If you're freaked out about the Mandela Effect, you might want to read this book. Ms. Larson is probably the most positive person out there on the subject. I was writing a brief review of REALITY SHIFTS on Facebook, when something very strange happened.I noticed nothing unusual as I typed and made corrections, occasionally glancing at my monitor. But when I had completed my writing and looked at the screen for the final time to post my review, I was no longer on Facebook-- I had inexplicably left that site and was now in my email folder-- I had written my entire review as a reply to that email, without ever knowingly leaving Facebook or opening the email!It was not a question of forgetting where I was on my computer; I had loaded a photo to go along with my review on Facebook, so I was certain that I had been on that site when I began writing the review. How I managed to get off Facebook, open the email and hit the Reply button, all while continuing an unbroken flow of writing that appeared in its entirety in the email is a real head-scratcher.It was exactly the sort of synchronicity about which Cynthia Sue Larson writes-- and with which I've become familiar myself during the last couple of years. For a possible indication of the mischievous spirit who may have been behind this particular blip in reality's fabric, the reader is referred to AN ATHEIST IN HEAVEN by Paul Jeffrey Davids, for which I was asked to contribute a chapter recounting my experiences related to the strange afterlife case of Forrest J Ackerman.Needless to say, having experienced some of the REALITY SHIFTS author Larson writes about, I know they happen, probably more often than most of us realize (as you read the book, you'll probably recognize similar mysterious occurrences from your own life), and I'm grateful for the insight into the phenomenon that her book provides.

I seldom read fiction. Most of it seems same old same old and I rapidly drift off. Soon after I purchased this book, I was caught and quickly finished it. It is well written and the story is grabbing. Should I recommend this to you? I’m torn, because it isn’t a pleasant story. It explores the depravity nadirs of humans, especially men. The puzzle: could you go into the past and somehow change it and recognize it has been changed when returning? It seems to me that even your memory of the original past would be changed and you would have no way to recognize this; an entirely new timeline would immediately come into existence and the old wouldn’t ever have happened. Anyhow, our protagonist didn’t consider this and was determined to assure that the future records of Jack the Ripper would be changed. In spite of his efforts, he create the future the past of which he was sent to explore. There is gore; Jack was a butcher.

"Reality Shifts" is an inspiring, fascinating and insightful read that will captivate your mind, body and soul. Cynthia Sue Larson's words are knowledgeable, encouraging, healing, powerful and mesmerizing. She encourages us to open our minds and heighten our awareness of the positivity, the awesomeness, the beauty and the magic that surrounds us. Things we often take for granted and overlook. Cynthia also promotes the power of CHOOSING to focus on the positive, the blessings and the humor in life. This is something I am extremely passionate about.I have experienced many "reality shifts" throughout my life journey. However, I before I read this book I thought perhaps I was just losing my mind! My son has suggested that parallel universes do exist, but I never REALLY opened up my mind to the possibility until now. Cynthia has explained these mysteries and now they make perfect sense! I highly recommend this book. =)

This book has confirmed my personal experiences because there were moments in the past i thought i was hullucinating but now realize my personal shifts were very real. I also vividly remember Mandela's death in 1991 in prison and was totally baffled to see him alive again years later.

I am so glad I came across this book! I have certainly experienced these reality shifts myself - many over the years. It was great to read about how others have been and are experiencing these things too. I always called my reality shifts 'my miracles' - because to me that is what they were! I gained a new perspective on some of my miracles after reading this book which was great. The author's voice is very kind, and I enjoyed her upbeat attitude and optimism. I don't feel quite so crazy anymore. :)I also visited the authors website and read even more stories of reality shifts. Highly recommended!

I just have to say that I am still reading Cynthia's book.This is a very interesting book so far.I love her writing style and the ease of the read. She has a down to earth style about her writing; nothing so far out in left field that it is unbelievable.Thank you Cynthia. I also have 2 of her other books. Aura Advantage and Shine with the Aura of Success.They are both very good books and very easy reads.Thank you again Cynthia, keep up the good work, this world needs more people like you.

Jonathan A. Smith is Professor of Psychology at Birkbeck University of London, UK where he leads the interpretative phenomenological analysis (IPA) research group. He has written many articles applying IPA to a range of areas in health, clinical and social psychology. He is co- author (with Paul Flowers and Michael Larkin) of Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis: Theory, Method and Research (Sage, 2009). He also has a wider interest in qualitative psychology generally and has co-edited a number of books in the area.

This is my selected methodology and this is the best book to clearly understand the topic. Great details, easy to read, and it has been a big help in my research.

This book is a good introduction to IPA. It is well written and should prove useful for the experienced researcher and the graduate student alike. What I especially appreciated was the way the authors compared and contrasted their method with other qualitative methods. While I am not sure I will actually use IPA in my research, I believe I could do so with this book as a guide.

Used this text as the main text for the my doctorate research method. Essential reading if you using Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) as a research method for your study or writing a paper. Explains the main features of IPA and gives great examples of IPA in action. Available in Kindle version too and it is handy to have both. The Kindle version allows you to search the book very quickly for key words.

I am a doctoral student in occupational therapy using IPA as the method to study the lived experiences of older mothers who live with their adult sons who have intellectual disabilities. I initially found IPA as I was looking for a phenomenological approach to my topic. This book is enormously useful as it clearly articulates the theoretical/philosophical underpinnings of IPA (yes, phenomenology and hermeneutics can be understood and used in research!). In addition, it outlines a methodological approach to IPA without being too formulaic or rigid. Certainly some of the contents will be familiar to those who have read as much about IPA as they can get their hands on (like me) but having it all in one place is fabulously helpful. The timing of publication of this book was perfect for me.

This is one of several of the texts I utilized when doing my doctoral dissertation research. It is well written--even interesting!!--and clearly explains the methodological approach utilized. I recommend it for anyone considering qualitative studies.

Bater Makhabel (LinkedIn: BATERMJ and GitHub: BATERMJ) is a system architect living across Beijing, Shanghai, and Urumqi in China. He received his master's and bachelor's degrees in computer science and technology from Tsinghua University between the years 1995 and 2002. He has extensive experience in machine learning, data mining, natural language processing (NLP), distributed systems, embedded systems, the Web, mobile, algorithms, and applied mathematics and statistics. He has worked for clients such as CA Technologies, META4ALL, and EDA (a subcompany of DFR). He also has experience in setting up start-ups in China. Bater has been balancing a life of creativity between the edge of computer sciences and human cultures. For the past 12 years, he has gained experience in various culture creations by applying various cutting-edge computer technologies, one being a human-machine interface that is used to communicate with computer systems in the Kazakh language. "I'm not a role model," Rodman readily admits, "I'm a figment of your imagination." In No Bull, that figment is fleshed out with some solid, three-dimensional reportage, interpretation, and analysis.
